Anyone use Keyboard and Razer Naga Mouse?? Help :(

I am as well, (Razer Naga Molten Ltd Edition) but only for steering in this game. You only need a three button mouse in ED, fire primary, fire secondary and free look. So are you trying to set up macros and stuff ?, if so there's no need
Voice Attack is my preferred contol method.

I'll be happy to assist, but what exactly is it you are looking for guidance for ?
My Input devices: Razer Naga 2014, logitech G710+, Saitek X55

Hello All,

Just curious if anyone is using Keyboard and Razer Naga Mouse? If so can you give me a bit of guidance?

Wishes!

The side buttons are too small and fiddly. Sorry, just imo.
.
I had one and got rid of it fairly fast, couldn't use it very well. Probably my thumb (being a little older, not than the rest of me you understand, but..) couldn't get it to hit the correct button which can be quite a problem. However this wasn't for ED, but Arma 2, which really its not meant for. More a dungeons & dragons type thing I think, you know, spells, potions whatever.

I use a logitech g700: 4 thumb buttons, 3 forfinger buttons and left-right-press actions on the wheel, all very useable in an action type game with minimal scope for miss-presses.

(note for programmers out there - the buttons work really well for IDE shortcuts, even works on linux as the mouse emulates a kbd usb device rather than needing a separate app to map the extra buttons).

I use at present (I have a few gaming mice), but at present I use the Ballista MK1 has 6/7 buttons and a further three via the wheel side clicks Right/Left plus wheel click itself. Its a fine mouse, better (for me) than the Rat5 I have and also my Roccat Kone+. Although I have to reload the MK1 software every now and then, no idea why, just drops for some reason, but no real hassle.
The Naga would have been a perfect mouse for WoW or similar, I would think. But the amount of closely positioned side buttons were much too fiddly for slightly faster game-play. Also I always use a gaming keypad, it was until recently the Nostromo, changed to the Tartarus at the moment having tried the Logitech G13, but that gave me hand ache after a while, curvature rest not good on the G13, although a great pad to be fair. So because I use the keypad it means I need fewer buttons on the mouse. I rarely touch the KB.
Thinking about it, they should really change the rest area on the G13, would then be as good as the Razer pads. Will be getting the Orbweaver for Christmas from the wife, nice, will give that a go too.
.
I don't look as much for gaming mice now, I collected for a while, daft really because obviously you can only use one at a time. I sold many off or gave them to relatives etc. But I do like my peripherals.;)
.
The only Logitech I have now is the G19 KB, for the screen mainly (monitoring). Main KB is the Strike 3 at the moment or V7, mainly because the backlights are so bright (getting older now).
.
I am not a fan of 'JoySticks', although I am not much of a dog fighter anyway, that's probably why.:D

Well it seems there are tons of things to macro on to a mouse. All of the commands to open up screens, boosts, set power to weapons, Galaxy map....I'm new so maybe not but I am no good at using my keyboard for most actions lol.

My primary flight and combat input is a standard Xbox controller. I use my Naga for a handful of useful macros. My top row are all power grid settings I commonly use; second row are bound to throttle +100, 0, and -100%, respectively. The last two rows are shortcuts for various commonly-used interface items, but those macros are touchy at best. I found that you need to add a 0.05sec delay after every key release to get a lot of functions to work.
