Hardware & Technical Anyone using Butkicker?

Yep, you will have to use a sound card and speakers as it wont work with USB headphones. as the BK runs off the sub output. They are good but I am not really sure they are worth £150. Try ebay but dont get a BK 1 as they are very noisy

Thanks. I was unaware that I needed the sound card. Are there alternatives that will work off usb?

I had problems with the onboard sound so I found my old Audigy and installed the beta windows drivers for it. I am buying a Roccat Kave 5.1 headset as it uses 3.5 jacks off the soundcard and I will use the Sub out to feed the BK. This should work. It is a shame that USB phones dont allow an output for the BK.

I have one. Used it on my xbox for racing games. Now I have shifted to the PC instead of buying next gen. Now it's on my PC. I only have standard beta, but just playing the youtube videos, ED is by far the best use of the peripheral. It adds a whole heap and well worth the extra expense if you ask me. Any other questions, just ask.

I am using standard stereo headphones plugged into the back of the mainboard audio, with the buttkicker in the mainboard bass plug. Works wonderfully well. No need for a sound card.

Don't know about the UK... I'm down under... There is nothing better than the gradual shake of the chair as you are increasing thrust. Even as you're flying into/out of space stations gives vibrations. The low end audio on this game is so awesome. It really has to be felt to be believed.

I'm using the butt kicker for a few weeks and honestly, it's really not the first thing you should buy. Track IR or another monitor on the other hand ...
