You should just fiddle around with the settings - There is no magical "fits all" settings, because everyone will have different setups in terms of how far away from the screen they are sitting, position of the device, monitor size affects how much head motion is needed, etc.
Personally I always remove the default 'deadzone' that there is when looking forwards, because I find the sudden snap in movement feels unnatural for me.
I'm the opposite... I liek the pro clip and have it on my headphones with the cables loosly zip tied together.
I ended up turning off zoom, and sideways motion, and then I turned off roll as well.
So now my TrackIR is only doing pitch and yaw but it still adds so much to the gameplay! The roll was just getting me out of whack with my ships actual orientation.
One of the reasons my downloadable config file makes the adjustments mentioned above and within the limitations the devs allow.. is to bring all 6 motions under control..
