Anything interesting to see near Maia/Merope?

Hi CMDRs

Looking for a break from missions; is there anything interesting to see in the vicinity of Maia/Merope? I'm aware of the Thargoid scout ship, but anything else worse a gander?

It mystifies me how people are able to discover new things, particularly on xbox! I took a trip out to one of the older crashed Thargoid ships last night; it didn't appear til I was virtually on top of it (<100m at a guess)!

I think some of the PC players use some sort of texture glitching technique to find areas of interest, but what are the rest of us supposed to do???

Completely agree...I've often wondered how on earth these guys find this stuff in a massive galaxy. I mean, how would you even choose a planet amongst thousands to search!

Theres logic and instruments others use in the game. It’s not purely random but some things are. I stumbled upon a base on Xbox one out of the blue trying to find something else I never found.

Ive always found this particular area to be more developed than the entire bubble. Its like theres a lot going on in a relatively small area.
