Anything to look forward to on release day?

Don't get me wrong, I am really enjoying Elite Dangerous but the 16th is going to be a bit of an anticlimax as there dosent seem to be anything to look forward to. Its a bit like opening all of your Christmas presents before Christmas day. Shame there isn't a few extras (or are there?) coming out with the full release.

It will be a historic and magnificent day!

There will be many people clearing their saves and working up from the very beginning again (myself included), there will be CMDR's in tooled-up Anaconda's dropping goodies for noobs, there will be cold-hearted souls one-shorting every Harmless Sidewinder in sight, and there will be showers of new players exploding themselves by every means imaginable, for reasons they will never find out

I don't have it quite that bad. im stuck in a system with star and a single rocky planet in it. so i can fly about just not do much , use fuel get some more lmao

I am looking forward to the tears of anguish and outrage as all the new pilots crash in to the space stations. I will bet that Frontier has a few surprises up their sleeve to pass out for release. We do know that is when the storyline kicks in, so that is at least something.

They always have some crazy surprise. The main story content is something we all know is coming, but I feel like they have yet another crazy feature that we are either not expecting at all, or something we expected but not any time soon, such as Wings or player faction ability.
