Just as APEX Taxis will ferry us about, why not have APEX Holidays / day trips to places of interest? A day trip to a downed Thargoid ship, alien ruins / historical place / view would be fun explorations of lore, and when you have enough you call your transport to return home maybe. You could also make temporary POI based sightseeing too for added variety.
