Apex Long Flight Solution / Suggestion

Have a Sleep / Nap button on all Apex flights.

Justification: On long flights where I'm not flying my plane (i'm a private pilot), such as a commercial flight, I go to sleep and it feels like I get to my destination instantly.

So on Apex, after I configure my suit loadout, I should be able to press a button to virtually take a nap and be woken by the sonic boom when coming out of hyper space to watch the landing. Explained another way, I hit the sleep button, fade to back for 1 second, 2nd second: I hear the sonic boom that wakes me, 3rd second: fade back in to wake up landing at my destination. Actual flight time reduced to suit loadout and landing time

Fairness to actual pilots: If I'm flying a my own ship, I can't sleep and must experience the entire flight time while having hands on. Makes sense because I'm in control, I can't sleep while flying.

If in the future if there are multiple commanders on a single Apex flight, all must agree to sleep to make the flight go relatively instantly, this is just like Minecraft where all players must sleep to get to the next day instantly.

in a game that has a heavy BGS presence that's manipulated by players, having something like instant travel is not going to work

its the same BGS, it's affected no matter what option you play in
from what I've seen the pilot does take a casual, laid back approach to getting anywhere so maybe there is scope to speed it up there
i also like the idea of giving you things to do whilst you are travelling, one of the better suggestions I've seen is to integrate some cqc action

Bruce has advised us of Frontier's position in the Initial Feedback Response thread here:
To avoid any confusion, we are not looking to reduce the travel time so that Apex Interstellar shuttles travel faster than player-owned ships. This would result in a fundamental change to Elite that contradicts the lore, physics, and potential longevity of the game. Instead, we hope that the above changes alongside an increased number of loadout and cosmetic customisation options to use during these trips will improve the experience.

Then there needs to be some sort of practice area, flying for 12 minutes with nothing to do and then die within 3 minutes is not fun at all. Bruce can take his position, but if we all don't like it, its not going to sell well. Sad, without all the waiting, it would be a fun DLC.

How about same planet missions? Why must we always go to a different planet?

I've stopped playing, its too painful. Have fun being a slave to your game mechanics and loosing customers by ignoring them...
