Apex Shuttle Service Idle Times - Time For Mini-games & In-universe Ads?

People who have played Fallout 4 or Fallout 76 may remember those retro mini-games available on your pip-boy (wrist-watch computer). While fun, I never say much point to them since I would rather be playing the game proper than stop just play one of those. In this video you see these game:

However, I think something like that could actually work for Elite Dangerous, specially in the case of the Apex taxis.

Plus, they could literally be based on the previous Elite games (though much simplified or sectioned for the sake of being a mini-game) and/or use their graphics, thus being both a way to pass the time during those short idle times and a bit of a homage to the earlier entries of the series at the same time:

On the other hand, while playing the game normally I see those screens meant to represent in-universe ads, but either I'm more concerned with piloting or the ad is simply an image that I can't make much sense of, so how about making some actual in-game commercials that play during those idle times.

For example, I really liked some of The Pilot's youtube videos on ships, and some almost feel like IRL "car ads", but for ED's ships:

How about something like that in-game? It also could not be limited to just to ships, but SRVs, guns, suits, modules, maybe even political propaganda for the different powers, etc.

Any other ideas?

Edit: replaced the Fallout video with a shorter one with more mini-games for the example.

I like the advert idea.
I'd prefer for travel times (which affect the whole game and my play time), they just let Supercruise accelerate and decelerate at faster rates- try maxing out supercruise and see how long it takes to reach top speed. Micro-jumps only to secondary stars could be cool as well. But if I could get SC all the way to max speed in a reasonable time then even that might not be necessary.

Excess travel times do not make the game better or more enjoyable and destroy the play time alloted to staring at the clock.

Apex just made the existing problem glaringly evident. And what did FD do about it? They moved the next "Alpha" phases to systems where all the bodies are packed closely together. Even then the hops can take multiple minutes where the ship is just going in a straight line.

I personnally hate ads IRL, but for immersion it could make sense ; but not as the sole solution.
I'm all for mini-games, or even a mini FE2 games as you suggested (that video has made me hope for the return of Sirocco Station again) ; or simply an ingame training simulator of sort ; it could be a very graphically simplifed version of the actual game...?

And I wouldn't mind an ingame web browser, especially in VR, though I know it's easier said than done.

About SC being faster, I guess they could do a slight improvement in that direction, I would support that, but it would probably not be enough to totally solve the issue of long distance travel. I'm fine with it personnally, I can do other things.
