FD, if you have a proper API for ED, not only can the devs easily implement missions and mission types, but the player base can also contribute their own narrative.
And along with a proper API, produce an API standards and practices, and have a group of players, voted on by the player base, etc, approve or disapprove submissions.
There should be many things that the API should address and affect, and I won't get into them right now, because the naysayers will have a field day. They already have enough material from what I already wrote. :-D
And for the love of Sag A., look into what it would take to implement a proper client/server model! I suspect that a good client/server model is a necessity for hosting and controlling a proper API.
Thanks for your consideration.
