Apparently, making a galaxy is hard. FDev is doing an amazing job

I don't see ED as as just game. It is an experience. When I play it in VR, I feel like I have traveled both in space and time. For example, when leaving a planet, I can get up from my seat, look out the window and see the outside of my ship! I can see the planet in the background getting further away. It isn't 100% perfect, but man it is so close that it makes re-think my existence. Hats off to Frontier and FDev.

Harsh words about ED are a gift and when properly communicated can help improve ED. However, we need to take time to recognize what a great experience ED is. Making a galaxy is hard right? Lol.

This.
I'm only playing on 21" 1920x1080 (or thereabouts) and it looks fantastic. I've been 4500LY out since 3.0 dropped, in my half engineered 'vette. The changing stars, nebulae and planets are simply stunning. Haven't got the nerve to land yet as don't want to lose all my data.
One day, I'll get VR, one day...

pffft, there seems to be some guy who can do this kind of stuff in 6 days.
He is very expensive though, and wants everybody to sing for him, give him credit for everything, even if he had nothing to do with it, and he is extremely shy.

But seriously...
I do agree. Creating the ED galaxy is a monumental task. It is hard to wait for it all to come together.
