Apparently the Imperial Clipper is lighter than an Eagle.

Fun fact, I was doing a bit of pirating, and was incredibly confused when targets kept instantly jumping away. Surely the massive Imperial Clipper could mass lock these tiny ships? Then I tried to jump, and I had a times 6 multiplier on my jump... since I was nearby an Eagle. Fun fact, you can only be mass locked by ships your close to your weight or heavier, which is why sidewinders can't mass-lock type 9's, so imagine my surprise when the Imperial Clipper had a lower weight than an Eagle!

The shadow is just three elliptical shapes with no central fuselage. Maybe that is the missing mass lol. Nope, game wasn't rushed to release one tiny bit.

EDIT: But hey if they made it's own FSD and thrusters treat the clipper's mass the same way other ships do, I would not complain.

Sure seems like theres a lot of problems ticketed and in the 'hope it gets resolved soon' status for this game.

Willing to bet anything that no tickets put in during the holidays get touched. They will do an update then autoreply every ticket like they always do. I have over 25 real bugs listed in tickets sent in and still don't know why I still send them in. they always 99% of the time auto complete them and assume there new patch fixed everyones problem. Then all the bugs are still there. Nooooo wasn't released to soon at all.

I'm assuming you mean cmdr dropships, because afaik masslocking npcs doesn't work.

Nope, this was on the rank progression mission where you have to kill a dropship. After he jumped out a million times on me (and no, following him and killing him somewhere else doesn't work - tried that) I waited till he tried to jump out (frameshift charge detected) then sat on his exhause vents and targetted his drives. He just flew along in a straight line for about five minutes while I ate his drives out with 2 class 1 beam lasers (I was all out of multicannon ammo by then) then he exploded. The only thing I could figure from that was I was masslocking him.

NPCs seem to be largely unaffected by mass disruption, regardless of what ships are near them.

Hell, they aren't even mass locked by stations. I've seen a fair share of them jump only a couple inches out of the letterbox.

The only thing I could figure from that was I was masslocking him.

Did he keep deploying his hardpoints, thereby cancelling his jump? That's what NPCs always seem to do when I tail them closely.
