Appeal to the league of ordinary gentlepersons

When the instant/delay vote comes in:

If the result is delay:
I'll be happy
I'll realise those who voted instant won't like it. I won't gloat. (Golden Rule)
I'll not make any posts telling FD they've did the right thing.
I'll accept the decision and move on with the game.

If the result is instant:
I won't like it.
I will not respond to gloating. Good for you.
I'll not make any posts FD is making a big mistake.
I'll accept the decision and move on with the game.

Replace instant/delay to your situation.

Sandro said it in one of his posts: there are good arguments on both side. People are arguing for personal preference. How can that be wrong?

Ziggy.

If the result is delay
I'll be very happy

If the result is instant
I'll be slightly less happy

Ship transfer is an awesome feature that has been missing for some time. I do have an opinion on the details of how it should work but ... meh ...

If delay wins (which is my choice) I'll be glad about it and look forward to make my commanders life a bit easier

If instant wins, I'll accept the outcome in the name of democracy and just continue to play... and maybe even use the feature from time to time.

I voted for instant due to the simple fact that we can have instant with 2.2 and delayed will be .. delayed maybe to next year. (I'm not sure all people who voted for "delayed" are aware of that)

If the majority vote is for delayed and delayed ... I guess I'll survive.

You can pretty much play any of the versions to +- 20% the same result, so the difference is tiny.
With delayed, you take your taxi to the ship you want to have somewhere, move the ship there (which is utterly trivial in the bubble) and call your taxi (or any other ship you might want to use) to the location - rinse, repeat and you'll always have the ship you need for the job there.
With instant, you can always call a ship and then just ignore it for as long as you see fit. There is nothing "physical" about ships or ship transfer. You see them, they're there - you don't see them - they're not.

And I will use the poll and FDs concern to provide ample solutions that fit *the majority* of players in any discussion that claims "FD doesn't listen"! :p

Personally, I would prefer instant. But if it goes the other way, it won't ruin my day. Its impossible for any game to make all the players happy all the time. Over all, ED is an overwhelming great game and neither decision will change that.

Good on ya Ziggy

Games fascinate me, forums fascinate me... As for transfers I'm one of the few (very few I see now!) who really doesn't give a hoot either way :)... Been very interesting seeing this whole episode play itself out!

Respect as always Cmdr o7

Instant coffee? Bleh. I don't even drink coffee. Not even that fancy shmancy coffee they serve at those Starbucks thingys. Baristas. Ha! They don't even know what it means.

Simple...

If the result is a delivery time (I think delay is the incorrect term to use):
I'll be happy, I'll not deny it, but I hope those that won't like it will accept the outcome and continue to support Frontier moving forward.

If the result is instant:
I won't like it but I'll accept the decision and move on with the game.

I wasn't sure about it so I just closed my eyes and voted randomly. So I'll win either way and theres nothing that stops me telling you.

Actually this isn't true, I voted for delay but it was a hard choice. Just like Sandro said, both sides have good arguments.

Yeah, I'll be happy with either outcome - a delivery time would be consistent with E: D as a space-sim (which I'd prefer) - Space is BIG and all that - but I can appreciate casual gamers don't want to have to wait 1/2 an hour to do something. Either way it will remove the need for shuttling around in sidewinders so there are no real downsides.
