Apple CarPlay Please!

Can we get an Apple CarPlay display in the game?

I don't want to have to take off my headset to answer the phone, read a text or surf the intertubes...

Obviously this is a tall order, but I haven't seen this option anywhere in a VR game.

Anyone know of a way to interact with your phone in-game?

I don't understand why you'd want to. Having said that, you can use applications such as BigScreen to get a virtual desktop, and from there you can run any application you like. I sometimes run VR with BigScreen and E: D running so that I can easily switch without leaving VR. It's a bit clunky, though, so I only tend to do this when I absolutely need to look stuff up while playing (which fortunately, is quite rare).

I have my phone hooked up to my Vive via Bluetooth. I can see calls and texts. I play tunes through my headset, but that comes off my PC.

As Crank says, Virtual Desktop is a time saver as well, but I don't use that a lot.

Well, that is easily accomplished using BigScreen. While a built in cockpit media player would be good, I wouldn't actually want FD to waste any development time on that - there are far more important things for them to be looking at.

Space trucking is in my space play list. It's a great way to start a session. I just use my phone to control my spotify play list

Easily doable via voice attack or countless other apps.

OVRdrop provides a way for SteamVR users to mirror a desktop window into the HMD. It can be used to watch videos when trucking for example.

OP.
When I play in VR, I don't want to be interupted by RL / Wife / Kids / phone etc

• Unless you are waiting for an urgent call, you don't have to answer the phone. Voicemail is your friend
• Text messages do not need to be read/responded to straight away. They will stay on your phone until you delete them.
• There are TP apps you can use to watch YT etc

I often go hours before I check my phone.
