Apply bounties on insurance

A good way to handle wanted bounties and unclaimed bounties could be to simply add them to insutance cost.

-no more suicidewinders (less at least)

-lower insurance cost when we have unclaimed bounties

-higher insurance rate when wanted (wild lifestyle tend to raise insurance premiums)

Already does afaik if you rebuy in a system with a bounty in... that may just be dormant though... not sure tbh its been a while since thats happened to me..

I think he means *positive* unclaimed bounty credits would be deducted from the rebuy cost -- instead of simply losing them. Fines from dormant bounties are added to the rebuy cost if you die in the system where the fine is registered.

Yup, i was thinking both since i had no idea negative bounties and fines were added to insurance.

Ah ok,my bad. Kinda defeats the risk of "do i go back now or, one more kill".
If thats done there will be a massive outcry from the powerplay and trading communities but especially the explorers.

Analogously any exploration data in principle redeemable in the death system could also apply as credits to the rebuy. But the idea'll never fly -- Real men pay their full rebuy! ;)
