"Apply to all" button

Like the title says, there needs to be an "Apply to all..." button to set the same wages/ride-costs/shop-costs/shop-extras/etc for all of the same type objects without managing each individually. Should also work for opening and closing all shops/rides of same type. Also needs to be an "open all" and "close all" function.

Or make it a shift+click function that works when turning rides/park on off and works when adjusting extras, and costs/wages.

I support 100%

Another thing, which may be a bit of a stretch, is to make the staff wages do the same thing, but only for the same type of staff member with the same level of training.

Agreed. Would also be great to be able to pick up members of staff without centering on their location so I don't have to scroll back to where I was.

+1

Any quality of life improvement in this game will be most welcome.

And also it'll be a very good idea if we can change staff wages and train them directly from the staff screen. So that'll eliminate all those pointless clicking.

I just duplicate already set up stalls (price/extras) in my park. It's about the same amount of clicking to get a new one from the menu. [yesnod]

But still, if you have placed them all, and suddenly think of an improvement or change, it would be useful. From what I know of programming this is the type of feature that is fairly superficial to add.

Aye but then if you want to change them in 6 months as you get more guests it takes forever to go through your 20 shops. Certainly still need an apply to all or the ability to group shops also. So I may want 6 shops of chief beef at one price because they are busy sections and 4 shops in the quite area at lower pricing. By grouping them in the UI as Group A or calling up shops in different themed areas at different prices would be handy.

would also be nice to have an apply all button for path materials

I think that is slightly more complicated though as how does it know when you want to change a section, does it stop doing one length of path when it gets to a junction? Does it do the paths for the whole park. I don't think it is as easy as that.

I took it to mean paths for the whole park! It's probably easier to update all then go back to your one or two special treatment sections to redo them than to update all your main paths a section at a time.

Alternatively apply to all of "this style" so if you're changing, say, a section of that blue path and you choose apply to all, it will apply new style to all existing blue path sections.

OK that is fair enough, I just think the idea in principle is good idea as it is tedious at moment, however we need to think how best to make it work so frontier understand what we are asking. I would suggest that you are right, that it should be for all paths that are connected together. So I click on the button that is change path texture and click on the path in question and it will do anything that interconnects.

So if I don't want a whole section of the path done, say in a different themed area I just disconnect that area while game paused and do the change and then reconnect it. That to me would be better because generally I would believe that most people use the same path type per their themed section.

Thoughts?

I think "apply to all matching textures" would be better than having to make sure all themed sections were detached first. Cos the themed areas would be more likely to have a different texture anyway so would be left alone. Unless you mean "apply to all contiguous path with matching texture" which would have the advantage that if you wanted to seperate whole walkways from the main pathways by a very small section of a different color then the apply to all would not "hop over" those isolating path segments.

The second was thought, however you are right in that maybe the texture match would be easier to code and use generally as you say.
