Applying Ship Paint Jobs - Show Me the Wear and Tear, Not just Pristine

Hi there FD,

I pay real money for ship paint jobs.

Depending on what I am about I might want to change paint but keep my ship's current wear and tear look.

I think for immersion this is also something we could request the paint shop to do or we could scuff the finish up ourselves (well, maybe, could be some super tough new coating I suppose).

Anyway, can we please get an option to apply paint jobs with variable wear from new to almost gone? It could be a slider or just 4 increments like 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% (pristine).

I haven't tested it, but if you never repair your paint job and then apply a purchased one - does the paint job get automatically repaired?

Paint wear is bugged anyway, not showing at all on my asp except during hyper space.

If you hit auto repair, it auto repairs the paintjob too.

If you want 'immersion' then don't use auto repair and leave your paint damaged. Although I admit I think it's bugged as when I bought my Clipper it was covered in scratches, and now it's not.

A common problem. Earlier patches of the game had paintjob separate but then that changed back so now all is being repaired.
