With the new modular souvenir shops on the way, in what other ways can we use the mechanics that come with it?
Expansion Tiles
Now that we are getting expanding buildings, I’m getting pretty excited for what could be applied to other things. For example, I really hope that we get large exhibits that we can add space to. It’d be great for animals like green anacondas, alligator snapping turtles, small monitors, small tortoises, giant salamanders, caiman lizards, pacific octopi, etc. I imagine that each animal would have a minimum tile number requirement before you can place it in the exhibit.
I hope that this concept could eventually apply to aviaries as well, maybe both Walkthrough and Non-Walkthrough. Frontier already has the groundwork. They’ve got the expansion tiles and the walkthrough exhibits. All they have to do is put them together.
Guests Interacting with Displays/Shelves/Etc.
I hope that we get objects in walkthrough habitats for guests to help them interact with animals, specifically the animals that guests can have guests enter their habitats. For example, there could be a swan food dispenser (you know the ones; kinda like a gumball machine), brushes for the llamas (that the guests would have to put back), and so on. I imagine having them snap along the edge of the paths, similar to the vending machines.
Both mechanics could also possibly be applied to playgrounds. We could place an initial playground tile, add expansion playground tiles, and install interactive playground equipment/structures.
Anyway, that’s my take. What do you all think? What sort of similar mechanics could we apply to other facilities and attractions?
