Approaching a Nebula

The Milky Way contains many nebulae :)

I'm particularly interested in seeing what the Orion nebula looks like from Betelgeuse or Bellatrix.

I see I guess I must be really old fashioned then :)

Isn't it an archaic reason that some are called planetary nebulae, becuase the astronomer at the time (possibly Hubble?) thought they were composed of planets?
