April update things revealed

Best thing they showed was no-collision! Too bad most of the stuff they showed was already shown during the PAX streams.

I'm eager to see and try these additions! [up] Streams tend to happen while I'm at work so no watching streams live. I look forward to more details.

I am disappointed there's still no dispatch synchronization for racing and dueling coasters. Expected that to make this update. =/

PAX Announcements:
- 3 new flat rides (plus the one released in 1.14)
- suspended coaster
- gokarts
- security, pickpockets and vandals
- more signs
- fences
- lots of new scenery
- 2 boomerangs (teased not shown)

2 weeks ago they announced:
- blueprints up to 4,000 pieces
- blueprints with 5 flat rides
- multiselection improvements

Todays announcements:
- security cameras and destruction
- 3 new scenarios
- ride prestige improvement
- minor UI improvements

I can be quite critical of the game at times.. but only because I love this game so much, I can't help but voice my opinion to hope it gets heard and added into the game or issues fixed. But no matter how critical I am.. I just want the Devs and everyone to know that I do REALLY REALLY love this game.. it's pretty much almost the only computer game I play. I want to thank everyone involved with the game, the devs, etc for creating it and listening to us as we are kinda nerdy about it, and very vocal about the game at times.. but thank you for all your hard work. I will continue to be critical about things I feel need to be in the game, and you guys keep continuing to be awesome. I look forward to next Tuesday , and all the future updates afterwards

THIS! Absolutely needed and great to hear it made it to the update!

If I am not mistaken, they do not have auto tunneling for coaster blueprints. Instead the coaster doesn't collide with the terrain anymore so you can place it underground, etc but have to dig out the tunnel by yourself.

Oh thank you for clarifying, I knew I didn't hear it correctly

A tiny bit disappointed there is no new theme at this time.

Fences and add-ons to existing sets are fantastic, but a nice shiny new set...

That's a bummer. Oh well - thanks for sharing.

Heya! So I just re-watched part of the stream and turns out I was right. The coaster clips through the terrain and then you can manually dig out the tunnel. This could potentially be faster in some cases, but if you have lots of underground sections this would probably take a lot longer than 'create hole', 'put coaster in hole', 'close hole'.

You can hear it at 1:14:40 in today's livestream.

These additions are great and still a lot of creative things, but except for security (and I don't really care), I was hoping for more gameplay and management changes. The game still lacks an interesting career mode and competition against AI. Maybe one day, but they never talks about it and seems satisfied as it is... So, it seems that it will continue to be an awesome creative game with incredible visuals and sound, but not too simple gameplay to keep me interested.

Gameplay and management are not sexy items to discuss. Bo did say all game changes will be in listed in update notes on release. For those who do want a deeper management game I hope someday you get your wish.

I don't think you will ever see the level of management you are looking for. [bored]

This update will only bring three new scenarios. That's kinda weaksauce if they wish to pretend this is a management game.

IMO security is a decent addition to management (thought it shoulda been there from the beginning though) but just a few more little things would be nice, it doesnt have to be a major overhaul of the game

A scenario editor similar to rct3 with the ability to create objectives would seriously help boost this game up in regards to having more challenging scenarios from the community [up]

maybe someday somebody will create a mod to include staff facilities [mouth shut]

I get the calls for more management but let's remember that RCT has lasted for so long because of community creations, not because players were hooked on the management. It's not surprising that Frontier is laser focused on what has kept the community around all these years.

Great things.
Fun to discover little things in the new scenarios video like the new very tall lamps and the smaller new path lamps. Besides that do I see a new yellow wall in the first go-kart scenario? Behind the Heslop tire big tire sign or maybe that is part of the sign. It functions as a bridge over the go-kart.

Of course we all saw the new triggable wooden doors, flags, champaign bottle etc..

One thing that also stands out in the new scenarios video is that they placed a lot of Fences. Maybe the creators did like to spend a lot of time on these or we get an easier method to make/place Fences.
