Aquatic animals-what would you like to see in such a DLC?

I'm not sure how flying creatures could be made fun, but aquatic creatures opens up a whole new realm of underwater facilities, viewing, transports, etc. Just because it's underwater doesn't mean we can't get down there or provide guests with ways to view the creatures. Dangers that need to be managed could be the vulnerability of any underwater transports or glass-bottomed boats, flooding of underwater facilities, etc. I can totally see a lot of fun systems built up around this.

Flying creatures... I'm really not sure. Build an aviary... done. Meh.

To me I would rather see different dinosaurs. There are 1000s of known dmsorcies. Some of them are extremely interesting and different.

I get what you mean. I'm glad they're focusing on the dinosaurs themselves for now, giving us a variety of fan favourites and unknown dinosaurs, I have no doubt that were they to include Pterasaurs and aquatic animals the diversity would be much smaller for the dinosaurs. Maybe it could be added a year or so down the line to bring a bit of new life to the game rather than right away.

I think aquatic creatures are easier to make than flying ones. I'm ok with the idea of having a big aviary, though. That way one could build that and manage the whole "circus" (as Hammond once said). The problem would be, possibly, the viewing, maybe. Maybe I'm just wrong!

As for aquatic creatures I think they CAN and could be implemented without much trouble. Something like we've seen in Jurassic world with the mosasaurus IS possible, but might be a little complex to achieve

Okay, serious question... but how many of you people suggesting Liopleurodon are doing it because of Walking with Dinosaurs and its claim of Liopleurodon being a 25 meter monstrosity? I ask because I find it odd so many people seem fixated on it, despite it's only claim to fame being an awkward lie in what was suppose to be a factual based television program...

I don't really see why ppl want flying / swimming creatures - other than the ooh factor:

1. They weren't dinosaurs were they? Thought they were reptiles, though obviously nowadays we have flying dinosaurs :)
2. Swimming creatures are mainly underwater, so what would we do with them (as part of a management game)? Even in the movies they only make fleeting appearances.
3. Flying creatures are mainly kept in a dome in the movies - only interest would be if they escape, unless you can zoom into the building - but we know you cannot go into buildings. And escaped they could ... what? Attack the invincible 'copters?

Not completely against it, just wondering what people would want them to do, as they keep coming up :)

* Couldn't give you rep anymore. Anyway I do agree! At first I wanted these too, but it doesn't really make sense like you said.
- Those swimming ones stay underwater or would be only partially visible.
- The flying ones would annoy me like hell if they'd escape. Besides if you would tranqualize one, would it fall down and survive? will that be the start of invincible creatures haha?

Next thing we know people want to be flying those dinosaurs lol. And that's how I believe a great game would ruin it's self. So it's not a must for me at all.

I wouldn't expect too many flying reptiles or marine/aquatic reptiles cause I think they will be pretty hard to make and animate.

I mean, probably a lot. I know Walking With Dinosaurs contributed to a lot in terms of interest in these animals. I don't see this as a huge issue, especially since the Jurassic World Mosasaurus seems to be much larger than real life Mosasaurus overall. Having Liopleurodon contributes to the variety of animals.
