Aquatics not surfacing for air?

I mean, they’re hatched from eggs in the game and yet we know plesiosaurs and ichthyosaurs gave birth to live young, so a little suspension of disbelief is required.
But yes, seeing them come up for air would be a nice animation to see in the game. I haven’t watched the marine reptiles for long enough to see if they do it or not.

i only unlocked plesiosaurus and it doesnt come up for air
despite actual in game dialogue mentioned by one of the characters that they did
it would be nice to have some kind of surfacing as well as breaching/jumping animations for some aquatics
