I just want to get the info out there for anyone in the same boat that might have the same use-case (want to still be able to see around you, use keyboard/mouse, have a larger screen/more immersion without putting a huge monitor in front of you, or get more immersion on non-VR-enabled devices). After I posted, the seller contacted me and offered a deal for Elite Dangerous players, which they posted in reply (free extended warranty, code "Elite").
