defining Arabia as places where people speak Arabic is like defining England as places where people speak English.

But that's just objectively wrong. Arabia conclusively refers to the Arabian peninsula. The "Arab World" is a far vaguer term which includes North African countries that were "Arabised" during the Arab expansions of the early middle ages. These days the correct term for the whole "Arab World" is pretty much MENA, aka Middle East/North Africa. For me the Arabic animal pack would be animals that inhabit Arabic countries not just one peninsula![]()
Depends on who you ask, the "arab world" may ancompass all countries between Morocco and Pakistan. But that's just objectively wrong. Arabia conclusively refers to the Arabian peninsula. Well, no, not exactly - Iran does have some minority Arab populations as a result of earlier Arab conquests in the region, but the "Arab World" refers to countries that still speak Arabic dialects today, which is basically Iraq, westward to Morocco.Depends on who you ask, the "arab world" may ancompass all countries between Morocco and Pakistan.
The actual arab countrues are, as you said, in and near the arabian peninsula.
Hence why I said "depends who you ask" . Iranians for example would be insulted if you'd insinuate they are close to arabs, same for non-arab arabic speaking cultures like the Druzi, but for outsiders as you said it gets much more blurry.Well, no, not exactly - Iran does have some minority Arab populations as a result of earlier Arab conquests in the region, but the "Arab World" refers to countries that still speak Arabic dialects today, which is basically Iraq, westward to Morocco.
I'm talking in accepted geopolitical terms, not opinions.Hence why I said "depends who you ask" . Iranians for example would be insulted if you'd insinuate they are close to arabs, same for non-arab arabic speaking cultures like the Druzi, but for outsiders as you said it gets much more blurry.
Legit. If we go by opinions I remember a lot of americans were in favor of bombing Agrabah, the city from Aladdin, in a survey.I'm talking in accepted geopolitical terms, not opinions.
I'd keep them for a scrubland/grassland packWas looking around for potentially suitable species for an Arabian pack and was quite surprised to find that the African spurred tortoise actually occurs in Yemen and the southernmost part of Saudi Arabia (the IUCN range map below includes it) - they would be near top of my list for inclusion in such a pack, as they are by far and away the most common tortoise in captivity in Europe, even more than the native European species; they are also quite often kept in large outdoor enclosures.
