Look, I'll be honest with you guys.

Thus far my allegiance has been to one mistress, her name is MONEY....Yeah.

Even though I've been playing this game since 1.1...December 2014 I think I started....I never really got into Powerplay, because like I said
Money was my God...and still is, but I'm thinking of going a power.

2 questions.

1. Independant's...Any reason for joining? I suppose Empire ships are great but....Any Independent players out there who enjoy
their Faction/Power?

2. Archon Delaine...Anyone pledge to him? Would I enjoy this faction?

If you tend to go racking up a lot of bounties, you'd probably like Delaine. His bonuses reduce the size of bounties you get on yourself, and smaller bounties expire faster, which means you can return to those systems sooner without immediately getting jumped by System Security. Or at least that's how it should work to make sense, it would be kind of dumb if it reduced the value but not the duration because if you have no intention of ever paying it off it's the duration that matters.

If you tend to keep a clean record (ie you don't get caught when you smuggle and you don't go around murdering innocents for kicks) and prefer to hunt other people's bounties though, Hudson and ALD will provide better bonuses for you. ALD's bonuses are identical to Hudson's except she gets an extra 20% on top of that and she has a better faction module, so technically there is no reason for anyone to ever join Hudson as long as ALD exists in her current form. But come on, screw the Empire. Fight for freedom.

If you like being a part of a faction that most people hates and launch crusade on, feel free to join.

For me there hasn't been a dull day since I began coordinating in Archon Delaine, the crew never disappointed me and continues to amaze me.

You would love us, although there is hard work to do too! Don't do it for the faction weapon bonus, do it for helping to create more money routes, more black markets and for the potential of being interdicted for a pvp fight every other jump home.

Being hated by everyone can be good fun and a proper challenge - it's a day-to-day, back-to-the-wall fight for survival against the odds!

Read GluttonyFang's summary here and the reddit page here to get familiar with the tasks needed doing. There's a few very good suggestions for smuggling routes within Delaine's territory to keep the money rolling in. After a hard days work, unwind at Gabriel Enterprise with all the rum, drugs and wenches you could wish for!
