Are Bi-weaves stronger than they ought to be? Are they broken?

So ignore my point about PvE.

Biweaves can be made to be extremely strong with engineers. That's likely what you're seeing. I think it's not great.

Are you listening to the fact I have had people tell me their shield strength and when compared to the sheer damage potential of plasma it didn't add up why the volleys didn't do greater damage. Like I said, one ship had around 400mj shield. Yes, pips increases this, yet multiple volleys from 5 plasma didn't do the expected damage to drop this shield. I already admitted this topic is probably baseless, since I don't know the exact math behind pips and absolute damage from plasma, so it doesn't really matter so long as they're no broken.

4 pips in SYS reduce all damage to shields by (last time I checked) 58%, then the resistances of the shield are applied to the 20/20 thermal and kinetic of the PA.

A C4 SRB PA would do 220ish raw damage, but only 90ish against a target with 4 pips to SYS and the +50% resistances on most biweave builds. This doesn't account for dropoff either.

Basically, cut your listed damage by at least 65% when shooting PAs at players with engineered biweaves.
