For some reason, I'm starting to get insanely good bounties (by my standards) all of a sudden. Whereas before the average bounty might have been 3-5K, now it's about 15K; but often a lot more. On one trip to a RES, I got 4 bounties of 50K+, any one of those is more than I made in bounty hunting in the first week of playing! Although better ships are showing up (1 Imperial Clipper, 2 Dropships and a Python in that group) I'm getting better bounties for easier ships - even got 45K for a Cobra. I made 370K in one visit alone, that's a huge amount for me (the game crashed in the middle of that hunt, lucky for me you don't lose the unclaimed bounties when that happens!)
Is this because I'm now "friendly" with the local faction or Federation? Or a change in 1.2? Or some systems are better than others? It seems to be more than just one system, the neighbouring ones seem good too. (Not sure of the name of the current system, but the station is Hudson Dock. The only reason I remember it is because NPC craft seem to get confused getting out of the station and freeze, so the in-station turrets eventually blow them up. Great to watch!)
