Are distress calls worth it or is just one more worthless activity?

if you are able to kws the pirates, and if you can finish off all waves, you get decent bounty money (similar to a high res). also, if you can clear a distress call, you will get a massive reputation boost of 15% with the faction, the "caller" is aligned with. i always pick up distress calls, when i'm in my python, but being alone i wasn't able to clear a distress call in my vulture or courier (yet). sound like a good thing for a wing!

Are you sure those anaconda pirates don't have 4k bounties like they have sometimes in other instanced events?

pirates of the last wave normally have 100 k + bounty on them, if you kws them... but maybe i was just lucky till now?

haz res does pay much better, but doesn't push your reputation (that much).

Also, if you pick up a multi-million kill pirate mission, as I did the other day, it is a very good way to clock up kills. I needed to ice 68 pirates for 3.5 mil, which took three distress calls and an SSS.

Those missions rarely seem to be assigned to a system with a comp nav or Rez sites, so Distress Calls can be something of a God send.
