Are Earth-Like Worlds orbiting around Black Hole real? Yes, they are ;)

I was travelling at 18k Ly from Sol when I entered in a black hole system. My dream was to find an ELW orbiting around one of them and finally I did it. It took my a while, something like 3 days of exploration in the near zone and 114 black holes scanned, but at least the 115th BH was the chosen one.

Really proud of this discovery. :D

Curious as an alien specie could live in that world without sun. In fact, the black hole is 4000Ls from the ELW and the neutron star is 24000Ls away!. Also the moon and the near red planet are candidate for terraforming...INCREDIBLE!

Here a view from the ELW.

Nice find indeed!

If you are in the vincinity, you may want to check out Dryaa Pri PO-Q e5-3154, another black hole + ELW-system.

Hah. If any human-esque civilisation flourished on that planet, you'd love to know what manner of superstition they'd create to explain the light distortions in their sky.

"That's where the great Sky God Bender lives, who bends and moves the stars around to voice his displeasure. Quick, kill a virgin!"

...how would that have enough (constant) light/temp to be "earth like"?

Well to me, it looks like the ELW and the black hole are orbiting something else that is not in the screenshot

Always a bright companion. ;)

I'm not sure whether you could get an ELW orbiting a solo BH in Elite - maybe if you had a very massive (and therefore very hot) gas giant and a moon very close to it?
It would be ripped to bits by gravity and grilled with radiation but that's not a problem in Elite... :)

The lights in the sky stretch out in the winter because they are trying to get back to the warmth of summer. Like migrating flocks of birds. Any fule knows that...

Radiation aside, don't see why gravity would have any bearing on the matter... It would just orbit proportionately further away etc...
