Are Imperial Clipper pilots the Audi drivers of ED ?

Anyone who spends a lot of time on the road will understand exactly what I mean by 'Audi Driver'. They are the sort that cut you up at roundabouts and junctions, overtake in stupid places and absolutely will never let you change into the lane in front of them without accelerating to try and stop you (really annoying when you HAVE to change lanes).
They are the most arrogant, inconsiderate and pig headed road hogs, on Britains roads today.

And i'm seeing a similar type of behaviour with Clipper pilots........

In all my time in open I have never come across a bad Clipper pilot, have seen a lot of runners, but never wreckless docking. Anaconda cmdr's remind me of BMW/Audi drivers, lost many T9's to Anaconda's in the past.

Worst cmdr's for me as a big ship guy, T6 Cmdr's! The amount of T6's that have ducked under my Conda/T9 right before the docking slot. Gives me so much rage!!

I fly a Clipper but I drive a Jag.

Consideration of what is around me is always a high priority, I don't want to look like a d..k in either machine :D

On the plus side any pilots you see flying Clippers in that arrogant manner probably haven't got Insurance buyback cover much like in the real world... Much easier to punish them here... ;)
(Although to be fair every clipper i've come across in PvP has been fairly polite, but as you say certain brands attract certain people as a minority to be fair but they give the rest a bad name.:( )

I seen fair few of this from Clipper pilots, but most seem fairly sensible. Well, for Clippers pilots anyway, 200m/s through the slot is slow for them.

Cobra pilots are downright reckless though, I few of them have ended up as Anaconda hood ornament docking souvenirs.

Ummm dude, that's not Audi drivers you described. It's BMW owners. But OT, I've seen a few idiotic Python owners. Double parking and everything. :D

Depends on the locale, I guess. My impression was that the Audi drivers took over that mantle from BMW owners a while ago...

Apols that was probably me back in the early days, i've learnt to look ahead now when leaving the station. Instead of "Yayyyy!!!! Oh Cr*p where did he come from..."

Glorious, it's the same in my country for sure, hate them! :D
As for Clippers... yeah I see similarities... both drivers have the "look at my shiny ship, I'm making money!" attitude it seems :p

No he's right, it must be locale specific.

I drive 10 hours a day doing my job and a decade ago I had nothing good to say about BMW drivers but now I do have something good to say about them, and it's this: at least they're not Audi drivers.

Haha, I think this is a quote from "shoot em up" but it goes something like this: "They had to be callous and inconsiderate to get their money in the first place, when they get in the car they just can't help themselves."

Off topic: Yes there are a lot of bad drivers and bigger/faster/expensive cars tend to have a higher proportion of aggressive drivers but this does not mean all are bad and generalising is bad, m'kay...

On topic: I find those with less to loose fly worse. Even personally, when im sat with 80mil in cash I care much less about how I fly than when I've overstepped on insurance and am praying that no one interdicts/rams my unshielded T6 as I complete the sell leg of my rare trade run.

He's not. As I say, I do a lot of driving north and south. As to locale, they tend to be worse in the south. I see BMW nuts everywhere.

OT: Python drivers are still the worst. :p

I can elaborate on this:

Cobra pilots = Subaru STI/Lancer Evo drivers (or your boy racer car of choice)
Clipper pilots = BMW/Audi/Mercedes drivers (or whatever arrogant t***er car is popular where you live)
Python pilots = Volvo drivers (disregarding other road users because, hey, they'll be OK in a crash)
Anaconda pilots = SUV drivers (i.e. Volvo driver x 100)
T9 pilots = White van man (I know the T9 is more of an artic/semi, but I'm talking about state of mind)
