Are “kill pirate xx” missions bugged?

Are “Kill Pirate Lord XX” missions bugged? Picked one up, jumped a few systems over, honked - transaction tab says scan needed. Dropped into Nav beacon, scanned - no change: it usually says mission status updated and a location. After flying around for a bit I start scanning ships in the system and found the target in supercruise. No blue target tag, nothing, just wandering around. I haven’t got a FSD interdictor either and can’t be bothered to fly around to find and equip one with the vague hope I’ll come back and he will still be here. Waggled my tail in front of him hoping he’d interdict me, and that didn’t happen either.

This is the second time I’ve tried this and had the same results, where they worked well before. Are these broken since the patch?

Grinding those missions as crazy for the moment and here all work out fine. But check the messages - often there are updates that the pirate X is in another system. They seem to travel between systems more nowadays. The bad thing is that the mission marker don't update so you have to really check the message.

Then you have case 2: a "friendly" commander that you have to low wake to get the information from. But this is often spammed in the message window so hard to miss.

But an FSD interdictor is really handy for smaller pirate lords. The big one have Vettes and interdicts you so no problems there

Have you tried FSS and looking for mission POIs? Usually marked by orange instead of white arrows/circles.

They were completely broken for me in 3.3.01 and I haven't checked since.

They seem to be fine for me, you can get them in res sites, signals, mission specific signals and drag them out of SC with an interdictor.

I had one last week where the target spawned further out than Hutton orbital, but reentering the system fixes that.

No problems here.

Most of the time I don't even need to drop at the Nav beacon. They interdict me on the way.

The best Part of these Missions is when you get interdicted by the Mission Target,submit,and nothing shows up after that.
