are Naval Progression missions still in game?

now you mention it I've begun to wonder myself. You have to do more and more missions for aligned factions to get the next naval progression mission to appear, but I've done an absolute shed load of missions for the last couple of weeks and not seen any sign of them.

Had one two days ago. Still working, but harder to gain access to them.

I know that i have done over 100 rep missions since becoming a Marquis, most at a HQ; which I know are bugged, but I wait and wait.
Faction rep is just getting silly, these days. Do 10 missions, rep goes to half way. Logged out and back in, rep goes down, sometimes, even with the little red arrows, so have not got over half way on the rep lines, after mission completion, for weeks.

I originally ranked up with the Fed many versions ago, but since power play, switched over to Empire. Despite completing many, many, many high dollar assassination missions, kill pirate missions etc all sponsored by the Empire (and being Allied with several minor Imperial factions, and eventually becoming Friendly with the Empire), I never saw any Imperial Progression missions.
So I took a step back, and figured maybe take it from a "new player" angle. I parked my conda, bought an ASP, and started doing all the "entry level" missions, like deliver cargo for 1000 CR. Sure enough, after 3 of the smaller missions, I saw my first Imperial progression mission and became an Outsider rank for completing.
Not sure if this will work for everyone, but despite my (still) Friendly status and Naval rank with the Fed, I appear to be moving up the chain on the Empire side.

Had one this morning, now officially a serf and no longer an outsider, I feel dirty all over...
I got my last mission about a moth ago and that got myself to viscount so yes the missions for the navy are in there and they are view and far between afaik I am on the last 4 ranks to go to get to prince.
If you are a Petty Officer you already have it.

Yeah, check your system permits. I can't say anything about Sol, as I had that one from the start, but recently I did a few rank up missions and received a bunch of other permits. I might just go and explore those systems now.
But to the OP - I haven't seen a rankup mission in the last... say week or so, despite doing a bunch of missions in fed space. Mostly cargo runs, smuggling and data transfer... now that I think about it, when I was getting the rank ups, I was doing assassinations and pirate hunts.... and the rankup missions themselves were mostly smuggling and cargo run... Not sure how that works.
Levelling up to Ensign was my first "task" when I bought the game in Feb, and I gave up after a few weeks. I started again a couple of weeks ago, and after several days of doing missions for Fed-aligned factions I finally was offered the last promotion up to Ensign. I'm telling you, I could have been carrying a cargo of Aisling Duval and her friends, and I'd have dropped them in a second to take up that mission!
I'm curious though, if the faction decay has an impact on career progression. Nearly every day when I log in, I see the dreaded "red arrows" next to the major factions, so I don't know if I'm slipping back as quickly as I'm getting ahead.
They are working though, if not very fast.

Was in game last night for a bit and checked my permits before logging off, ZERO. Will try flying closer to the SOL system and see if that mission pops up or if it will magically appear. No worries, would like to see it is all before going to work for some other factions.
