Just some situations that I'm asking if they are new behaviors or if they've been like this for a while. While doing the CGs for DWE2, I noticed a few things that I don't remember the NPCs doing since I started playing again a few months ago. Sorry if my memory ain't what it used to be.
1. I had a few NPC pirates take some damage and run away before I could finish them. I remember pirates running before, but I thought people complained and FD took it out of the game years ago. Maybe it was just that my exploration rated DBX, with three 1D fixed cannons, was too weak to get the job done quickly enough. I actually like this behavior.
2. I saw a clean elite Python miner being attacked by a expert FGS pirate. The Python was fighting back and I joined in to help. Pretty quickly the Python, with full shields, ran away and left me to deal with the FGS. I don't remember that ever happening before, but it happened a few more times in similar situations. I wouldn't mind seeing a harmless T6 run away when given the chance, but not an elite Python. I remember attacked ships always staying in the fight. Again, if I wasn't in my exploration DBX I may not have even noticed.
3. I dropped into a random ring spot for some mining and got scanned by the obligatory pirate. But one time a system authority vessel showed up and started attaching the pirate, who hadn't even shot at me. I've never seen that before and I've done quite a bit of mining.
4. I was in a high res, surrounded by system authority vessels, and I attacked a wanted pirate. I remember the cops always joining in instantly before, but now they wait until the wanted ship lands a hit on me before joining in the fight.
5. Bonus: I saw some system authority vessels attacking each other. I remember that years ago, but I thought they got rid of that.
Thanks. [up]
