Hello all,
I cannot visit the Proteus shipwreck site on Trapezium Sector YU-X c1-2 1 a in Odyssey, because the game crashes to desktop without any error message when I get close to the crashed Anaconda. The crash to desktop happens in normal flight low over ground or after landing when using headlook in the cockpit to look at the crashed ship. In Horizons 3.8 I was able to go there, drive around, collect materials and download comms uplink logs without any problems.
Have other commanders been able to go there in EDO without issues? Or is this issue only in my PC?
Edit: I tried again in EDO after climbing out from the Proteus shipwreck site, to an altitude of about 42 km, in Horizons 3.8. The game loaded fine in Odyssey, but I was able to continue flying for only a few seconds before the game crashed to desktop again, without any error message as always. This issue may be related to the issue where EDO invariably crashes to desktop when I try to drop from supercruise into any POI or station in a planetary ring. That issue started with Update 12.
Edit 2: I tried again one more time in Odyssey after I had flown in Horizons 3.8 to the area where there are several crashed Thargoid ships. I stopped my ship over that area at altitude 45 km and exited the game. Then I loaded the game in EDO. It loaded fine, but I did not get to fly anywhere before the game crashed to desktop. I had only started to tilted nose downwards, and when my ship's nose was pointing to about 40 - 50 degrees downwards, the game crashed without any error message. Looks like this celestial body is not working in Odyssey, at least not on my PC. But is the fault in the game or in my PC? Is it happening because of the use of native doubles in GPU? I have an AMD system which is affected by the Radeon driver issue discussed in other threads.
