Are RES sites no longer any good for BH?

I've been trawling RES sites for the last few days and can't find pirates to kill in any of them so far!
Why is this?
Have they been changed / nerfed?
Are RES sites no longer the place to go for Bounty Hunting?

What gives?

Just keep re-loading the instance until you see larger ships (clipper, dropship, python), or just move on to a new RES for the none "cheese" approach, if its still the same to when I tested it a few days ago.

They have been changed.

As a cmdr who's spent a lotta time BHing, I have to say I actually like the new version. There's a lot more varience. You get a lot more awful instances but you get a lot more awesome one's too, and the enemies have more variety and higher skill.

I've found that on average I make more money in the new one's too since even a viper can bring in 60k or more.

It is more tiresome to find a good instance, however. I don't mind this so much since I've mostly been flying my little DBS, which makes even lame instances good fun, dogfighting with high ranked smaller craft.

If you tire of it, go hunting in supercruise in an anarchy system, that can bring in a lot of credits too while also allowing you to pick your fights a bit more (obviously, remember to bring your Frame Shift Drive Interdictor!)

Doh, define good instance.... When I get a python / clipper / dropship, that's it. I mean one. or maybe two. Then small ships again, and maybe in 15-20 mins there's another dropship.

You get 20% more income in any of ALDs territory.
More if you actually join her Power. Hudson members will get 50% bonus money right now for him being number 1.

about 90 minutes. ( 60 for fight and 30 for restarting instance... )

Actually, it is more like +20% and +100% on top of that, as bounties are doubled upon claiming a voucher in A L-D territory. -> Bounty voucher = 2.4 * Bounty listed in contact details.
For pledged players, even more bonus is given upon cashing in the voucher (+40% rating 2-4? and +100% for rating 5)

Edit:
Hence a rating five player of A L-D gets 4.8 * bounties when hunting at home.

Its 20% extra for non pledged players, 60% for pledged players who are rating 2 (was 70% when she was number 1), 120% for players who are rating 5.

It is more, as I found out. A ship had an assault bounty (400Cr) for attacking me.
The voucher ending up in my tab was 960 Cr.
The payout for cashing in was 1920 Cr. (rating 5).
A lot of people forget the bounty doubling in A D-L space.

Hence I got 20% territory bonus +100% rating bonus +100% doubling bonus, all stacking on top of each other. I plan to go to rating 4 in the next cycles to check the rating bonus.

Edit:
Of course the original assault bounty should have been 800 Cr to start with, but was shown as 400 Cr.

Edit2:
All the bonuses work together, when you hunt in a control system of A L-D. Exploited systems bring less cash.

If someone shoots you they do receive double the bounty on their head, but if you go to a res, and they are worth 10000cr, when I cashed them in I got 17000 (rating 2) for them.

I do a lot of RES BH, and I find the new system pretty good. I actually prefer the instances where you get a lot of small ships, especially a 3 wing group. It takes a lot more skill to take down 3 Vipers than one Conda. Sort the targets, KWS the lot before starting attack run. I find large ships kills pretty boring to be honest. Take their shield down, then get inside their guns and snipe the power plant. Money works out about the same anyway. 5 minutes to kill a Conda for say 166K credits, or one minute to take down 4 Vipers or Eagles for nearly the same money, sometimes more.

Check the data in the contact tab. Somebody showing 10.000Cr gives you an on screen message of 10.000 Cr, but 24.000 Cr as voucher. Cashing in the voucher gives you 48.000 Cr (rating 5).

I think, FD made it simple for NPCs in A L-D space: They are generated with standard bounties, but the claim vouchers are +20% and doubled. Check it in game please. It might be simply a bug only showing half the value in the contact details and on screen message. But it does not matter, your receive a lot of extra money hunting in A D-L control systems.

As it might be hard to believe, some pics.

Bounties receives: 4824=2.4 * original bounty. This should only work in control systems.
Cashing in will double it again (rating 5) or +40% (rating 2-4).

LOL, I'd say thats a bug you want to keep quiet about.
I've only looked at the amounts in the transaction tab before I cashed them in, and they went up by 70% for me.
If they are also going into the transaction tab for twice as much thats just crazy.

40% bounty hunting money is the best perk in PP. What does that make 140%?

I think, it is not a bug, but FDs interpretation of three boni:
1. A L-D rating 5: +100% bounty payout
2. A L-D control systems: Fines and bounties x2
3. A L-D control systems: Bounty payout +20%

As they are applied consecutively (3->2->1), they stack. Once, this becomes widely known, Bounty Hunters will flock to her even more.

The number 2 part is the "wrong" bit.
Its logical from what should happen, but stacking all of these on one power is just so much better than anyone else.

I think the RES sites are much better since the latest update. I've had wings of pythons, wings of clippers, wanted Asps winged with pythons (never seen a wanted asp in RES since I've played the game, not counting the ones that accidently hit sys authority and became wanted). Made a lot of coin in the past 24hrs (just got back from vacation). But hate the dumbed down RES graphics.

If you don't see a lot of npcs in an RES area, just hang around and fly for a while. They seem to gradually spawn in now, and the longer you're there, the more intense it becomes. Within about 10 min or so, it should be at full steam with multiple wings of system defense and targets going at it.

I've had the opposite scenarios, I've been going to "High Intensity" RES and they tend to be dead for a long time even then I mostly get sideys the occasional clipper and asp but nothing bigger.
Police also seem to vary sometimes never get a single cop in the area sometimes I get 2-3 othertimes I end up seeing 9+ cops

I've made about the same of money, if not more, going to combat zones
