I always thought they were internal but its the first thing to go in a missile attack for me. I have a ships with light waight sensors and no mrps but my guns,walst battered are still functioning but my sensors die in one or two missile hits.
This is from npcs in haz res and AFAIK they dont have special effects.
Perhaps its always been this way and i never noticed they were external before but it just seems odd. That my sensors are blown off before my guns if they are internal modules?
