Are stations getting fixed or am I at fault?

So I was going around doing my bounty hunter thing. I went in reverse because this master cobra was kicking my rear, so I waited for him to try and frontal attack me. It was fine until the stupid police (WHICH I TURNED OFF REQUESTED HELP ON FOR A REASON) lined up semi behind him. Of course im a bit more skilled now so im watching my fire to avoid that silly fine. And 2 bullets fly past him and hit the police. Whatever I think ill just kill him and SC out. Which I did. Now I wanted to cash in at a high tech station to upgrade. I fly probably 40 ly away, which was kinda long in a viper(Had to keep scooping). Requested entrance to the station... It's all good... I get scanned...It's all good... I touch the force field thing *pew pew pew pew pew* WHAT JUST HAPPENED? I try and back out to SC away. Nope, stations are freaking op and go through shields which is fun... And I lost my 40k in bounties(Which isn't a big deal.)

So was I at fault? That 200cr bounty really enough to warrant the silly police shooting me to bits? And if not, what the hell happened? Also if it is my fault, why was I not warned at some point. Pretty much what happened was "Can I come in the station?" "Yeah sure, come in." *Enters* "NOPE HAHAHA IT WAS A TRAP!" "Nooooooooo!" Because thats how security works, just like that... It's like getting a parking ticket and when you go to pay it off you get shot by every cop in the precinct after that serve you coffee and donuts and tell you to wait in the lounge.

That's all, im not really mad or anything. I mean everything lost can be regained(Except my time...). And my viper is safe because you know, I have my insurance at all times(shots fired at whiners)

I expect the bit where you got scanned might be the answer. Stations do not scan you, but if the local cops scan you and find you are wanted (or carrying illegal goods) as you approach the station, the station will open fire.

Okay I figured that. Should have just gone to that other station with no cops. Still though I feel this is kinda wrong. Come on, 200cr wanted for hit a cops shields once or twice? And then getting shot for 200cr?

It's not the stations, it's you. Working as intended.

If you are wanted in that system... for 1CR or ! million CR and the cops scan you they will shoot at you.
If you fly 1000LY away but you're still in a system with the same allegiance (ie: if the wanted system was a federation one and so is this) then you are wanted here as well.
If you are near a station when the cops start shooting you, so will the station.
If it says "WANTED" in big red letters on the bottom right of your screen, you are wanted where you are.
If you look at a station in the system map and it says "WANTED" in big red letters you are wanted there. Stay away from it.
If you don't want to dodge cops, stay away from stations and USS's, and fly straight to ANY platform - coz they don't have cops at platforms - and pay off your fine at a "Pilot's Federation" office.

I explicitly explain I WASNT UPSET. For petes sake I even asked if I was at fault. No need to get all grumpy. If anything this can be considered a story thread about me somehow not even seeing the big red wanted sign(I really don't recall it being there.(?)) I still think this needs a fix. 200 cr from hit the police twice is just absurd. I mean maybe the police should get bounties too, all the times they shot me without warrant...

Wasn't being grumpy, just answered the same questions several times in several threads. The mods merged all the threads into one, which I've already pointed out to you. That is the place to discuss it further.
