Are the Cockpit Graphics Improved with Update 2.3?

During the live stream we could view the cockpit from all the way back towards the front. I think it looks better than before. Here's a blurry image:

Or they got some super computer/developer mode graphics setting going.

I want to be able to feel and see the texture of the traditional paper I am writing my virtual captains loggbok in with a simulated traditional pen. That is the detail we want. If I study the interior wall of the spaceship, I want to see the little insects I accidentally took with me in the fruit and vegetables that I put in a bowl in the recreation and social area of the ship.
