Ah well, couldn't resist the 'Early Bird Sale' (£100 off!) so pushed the button

Do you guys recommend I install only the 22.5.1 driver for now?

(Only play Horizons 3.8 currently (may move to Horizons 4 at some point) and ONLY in VR.)

Hi Bob,

I run an AMD RX 6900XT with 22.5.1 drivers. All seems fine to me.

I don't play that often but haven't seen anything that's mentioned in the link above....so far. When I play it's with some friends and using EDO only.

I still hesitate to go AMD specifically due to driver issues.

This has been the case since they were known as ATI

Want to have fewer driver problems? Just get an Nvidia card.

You should be fine. It is good hardware and there are many posters here that know all the best ways to work around the issues seen with ED.

I actually like the AMD hardware better, but I lose patience when I have to do too much to get something working that I've paid for.

It just shouldn't be that way - but then again, seems to be the new normal.

Great informative interview. AMD is on the right track from a hardware strategy.

If they improved the driver quality maintenance I'd dump Nvidia for my next GPU.

Thanks GJ51....I'll have a look at that later.

Just like to say guys that with the older, stable AMD drivers plus OpenXR....ED 3.8 (?) is looking so much nicer and smoother than with the 1080.

Turned on the 'turbo boost' on the new release of OpenXR....'think' it's making a difference, will have to check closely.
