Are the new repair costs a bug? This can't be right

Just had an altercation with an Elite Dropship that interdicted me, whilst in my trading Anaconda (A4 shields only). I wasn't too fussed by him pummeling my shield, so I hung around to waste him, and in doing so lost I think either 6% or 8% of my hull, I forget which. I resigned myself to about a million in repairs, no biggy, just two trades, no problems. I got back, and what do I see? A 6.5K repair bill. 6500 credits. Realllllllly? I paid 147 million for the base ship and this is meant to be appropriate repairs post-1.2? 500K at least perhaps, but a million seems appropriate to me, I mean that's almost the value of 2 trades. Personally, I think the rebalance went way overboard for the Anaconda.

"Hi, Is that the Audi service department? Hi. Yeah, someone just keyed my A5. Yeah I know, they ran it along the entire car. Such a pain. What'll the damage be for a repair? Good grief! 35 pence you say, wow, prices have gone up haven't they. Fine fine, I'll bring it in.."

it also means that the anaconda can conceivably be used as a combat ship without having to trade to keep your bankroll from plummeting. it means everybody can fight more and worry less about the damages stealing away their insurance money. this is a good thing. don't ruin it for all us poor asp pilots.

I'm not talking about the Asp, this is about the Anaconda; I have no issues with any other ship, I haven't used them since 1.2. The Anaconda is already a combat ship, has no issues making money in combat - swap a 128 cargo and 64 cargo for top shield and top shield cell, and that's it, ready to rock. This repair bill is a joke, based on typical income; it's immersion breaking, that's all.

Hehehe, too many people complained (read: whined) about the repair costs for the big ships. FD now gave them the pocket money repairs. => Whine enough, and you will get what you want, even if it doesn't make any sense.
BTW., cool old school cobra gif.

They slashed repair costs by 10 fold+ for all ships. It makes bigger ships usable in combat where you want to turn a profit.

Yep - thats it. Though i don't agree about how much they reduced repair costs, i won't arge about it. If it helps to see more diversity in combat regarding ships beeing used, i am all game. However, as there is another thread - wether by purpose or by accident, it looks like W&T costs have increaded.

If the repair cost was over a million for 10% hull, then no ship larger then an Asp could ever really be used in combat by non-Traders. It's a step in the right direction if you ask me.

I'm not going to complain about low repair costs they are indeed a little too low for the Anaconda. 2% hull damage and a 1,8k repair bill while 2% wear and tear costs about 150k to fix.

Might as well make repairs free of charge, pretty much what they did already. The prices being paid for battle damage is more of a symbolic donation than a payment now (though it made me laugh when I first saw the repair bill for my Python after a little run in a trap strong SS).

You know how every game devs are (me included), you tell them a weapon does 2 dps too much for is price, they look at it and then they reduce the dps by 10 and double is cost.

yup I'm completely confused. Repair costs are cheap but i just paid 2.1 million because my condies hull integrity was 58% Not sure what exactly I did to achieve that. Considering i have yet to do ANY damage to my condies hull. I'm sure someone can explain.
