In 1.5 we have new missions that require you to hold on to data for a set time without dying, and then delivering it to a set location. They have names like "Endurance" or "A Safe Pair of Hands".
At first I thought these were completely broken, as they just randomly fail, but after a few attempts it appears that the description is just wrong and missing critical detail.
These follow a format:
These missions are called 'survival' or 'endurance' on the BB, but there appears to be no element of that at all. Instead they appear to be go to a system and wait an hour or two while signed in. Boring and worthless. Surviving the 10-20 mins is trivial, waiting round for over an hour to claim it seems broken.
This seems a missed opportunity to me. Surely these missions should throw loads of increasingly tough bounty hunters at you until the time limit expires, and then you can claim it. Alternatively the BB could have a new (less misleading) 'wait around in open space for a hour' missions if that was the design intention.

These follow a format:
- The mission description states that you must hold on to data for a time limit (usually between 10-20mins) and then you will be contacted with where to deliver it. This is only partially true and misses out the majority of what you have to do.
- Once you accept the mission you will get attacked in supercruise or in an instance, usually by a Viper or equivalent.
- After the time limit the mission updates with the system to go to, usually one within 10LY.
- It doesn't matter if you go to this system yet, you can't complete the mission. Now you must wait.
- A random amount of time after that (I've seen both 5 mins and over an hour) the mission updates with a really narrow 10 minute window when you have to be in the target system and not in supercruise. As long as you meet that window you'll complete the mission and be able to claim it at the station where your picked it up.
- If you die you fail, fair enough. You won't die though as the ships that hunt you are dregs.
- If you log out and stop the game (on Xbone) you fail.
- If you're not actively playing when the second random timer hits you fail. I failed a load of times because I didn't know this - nothing in the mission description suggests that there is a second time critical timer.
- If you're not in space and not in supercruise during the 10 min window you fail. I only found this out because I got interdicted between stations in the target system and the contact turned up and completed the mission while I was fighting the enemy.
