Are the texture popins still visable

... on landable planets?

I haven't looked

I didn't see any notes for VR...

Thanks!

EDIT
Added detail that I too lazily failed to include...

And for a video - old but the same thing still happens.
Go to about 7 seconds in and you can see it in action

What popins? I play exclusively in VR and i havent noticed any texture pops on planets. Using a 1080ti and VR ultra settings.

I play exclusively in VR as well and haven't noticed anything either. I use a 980 and vr ultra settings.

Luckily I have never seen this on my CV1. I am using an AMD Fury card, so not the highest spec with limited onboard ram (4GB's).

Maybe it is card type specific.

Yes, they're still there. It mainly happens on planets, and it's down to the shadow level/gpu workload/detail slider.

And the more 'stuff' going on where you are, the more it'll happen - I assume there is a dynamic LOD system somewhere in the background. With a 1070, you won't be able to run much on highest settings, so you'll inevitably see more pop-in.

Lover settings, but not detail distance, and then try increasing your shadows until it's no good... that'll solve some pop-in problems. (HMD settings makes no difference to pop-in - but naturally, it will kill fps quicker than anything else. I don't know for certain, but I would guess SS and AA settings WILL affect it, as they directly affect the video buffer.)
