Could it be the aliens have already been here inside the bubble for quite some time? Perhaps they have the ability to disguise themselves and pass off as being humanoid. Not unlike the "Skin Jobs" in BSG and/or "the Founders" in DS9. What about the strange sounds heard at unsanctioned outposts?
If they have already established a presence here, I bet some of them are posing as the bride or groom in all these wedding barges we keep seeing. Perhaps “I’ve never seen the family all together before. . “ or “I haven’t even written my vows yet. . “ is some sort of encoded message. I don't know about the rest of you folks, but I it sure would give me some pleasure to legally blow-up one of those wedding barges.
