[LFG] Are there any large PS4 groups?

Titie, I'm just looking for some people to fly with in game. I'm currently on my way to Colonia and should be there by the weekend (its a long trip holy crap).

You won't find many players in Colonia. Try the groups section of the forum, lots of friendly groups there will court you =]

You will find that most of the PS4 player's right here in the Cantina, though FDev calls it a forum thread. Which is what I've told the little woman it is. Just the place to do some drinking, smoking, eatting all the stuff we can't eat at home. Telling stories, telling lies; In general just chilling between missions. Before going home to the wife and rug rats. This is the best place to hook up with various Cmdr's of all types.

As it was pointed out by someone else, hanging here and the other adjacent rooms will put you in touch with most of eveyone involed in the game. Any and all questions can and will be answered generaly post haste. Though you will get some conflicting data from time to time, well actually all the time.

Wellcome to our home away from home, watch your six in and out of the stations, and never ever for what ever reason fly without rebuy.

pah i laugh in the face of rebuy, rebuy is an alliance conspriacy to make money for more tie-dye t-shirt's and trees to hug.

but generally there are 2 PS4 groups considered large, the crossbones vanguard (imposters as not all there players are ps4 only) and the Misfit's of Science and research (the only purely exclusive PS4 minor faction with 3 systems and chocolate cake)

There’s plenty of large groups, but whether that equates to a large number of active players is another thing.
Groups over all platforms will have their size inflated.
We are a medium group, and exclusive to PS4 yet highly active.

Not sure if this is a dumb question, but how does joining a group such as Mobius compare or differ from joining one of the many I see request for. I joined Mobius 5 months ago, and with the exception of it's supposed to elimate griefing. I can not tell the difference from my dozen or so ventures in to open.

Are there somesort of bennies, does one have to swear alligence, are there mandatory missions one has to complete?

I've been a ps4 player since launch, and I assume that my slow internet speed would keep me from participating in group events. Thus have never really figured out the differences between joining a private group other than Mobius, which I did to eliminate any possibility of griefing. That said, I've started down the path to learning combat, my progress will be slow, I'm old. But once I feel I'm compentent enough to hold my own, joining a private group seems like a way to go. I'm assuming groups want more than just bus drivers or package delivery drivers.

Depends on your group. I finally opted to join the Alliance Elite Diplomatic Corp who have an active projects list for you to take part in. They are an old and large PC based group with a few of us on PS4, but i'm always happy to do my part and I've hooked up with other PS4 players from around the world already. That provides opportunity to wing up and so on...MOBIUS - well most of you already know my strong opinions on MOBIUS so i wont repeat them here and your comments only reinforce what i have said before.

Ok, but does one join in a simular fashion. By submitting a request, waiting for an acceptence and then have to choose that group like one does for mobius, when logging on to play. Or does one simply have to travel to a particular system, and join such as in or like I assuming one does for power play or swearing alligence to a faction. Both of which mandate I believe, that one must do various missions to stay in somesort of standing.

From everything I know about Mobius, there is but one rule which is not spoil another's gaming experience. Other than that, one can do exactly what they want, when they want, how they want etc. etc etc. From my understanding of joining power play is one is mandated to do various mission, which will eventualy take up any and all of one independent play. I know nothing of the smaller independent groups like the Misfits for just an example. They are the original and possibly only true PS4 groups.

You stated that your happy to do your part. Just what does or did that curtail, please. I'm truely courious.

There's a number of PS4 only groups, but most are smaller in size. On Reddit I think a PvP group claims to have 50 members, but most are a dozen-ish in size.

Then you get PS4 branches of PC (Xbox) groups, where the main group can be many hundreds, but the PS4 branch will be much less.
The Fuel Rats for example have many hundreds of players, but regular active PS4 players are a few dozen at most (and we're focused on a specific task, so not quite like a regular player group).

Mostly I think it depends on what you want a big group for?
To socialise with, both in real life and say outside the game (Discord, forums etc), or a group for in-game meetups and chat. Those points may overlap, but may not need to.
Mobius is kind of special in that you don't have a group-goal (like exploring or bounty hunting together), but essentially providing a non-PvP version of Open. Which means you get the same amount, or lack of, social interaction as Open too.

I've been to reddit, and every post is related to pc's issues. Perhaps there is a ps4 group thread simular to this one, but I've never come accross it.

I represent The Patriarchs. We are currently sitting near 20 members on PS4 and have branched out to all other platforms.

We are a casual group dedicated to the Family Oriented, Hard Working Men (must be at least 18) trying to find time to balance Life Responsibilities with game time. We use BAND for clan communications outside of the game and to coordinate wing groups when possible. Due to the nature of our group, we also ask that foul language be kept to a minimum when mic'd up and nothing vulgar in BAND.

If you're willing to give us a shot, you're welcome to shoot me a PM here or on PSN @ Cornbread243

Like most multi-platform groups you have to join via an application process yes. I am working to see about a PS4 Private Group but with the AEDC it isn't required for reasons i cant go into with non-members. You DO NOT have to join Powerplay (though i do PP) as such as it isn't what the AEDC do. You can check their website at the bottom of my sig for further info.

P.S. You can fly open, solo or PG whatever you like it doesnt matter to the aims of AEDC

Did someone say large group? Check out our website below, find us on Facebook and look us up on the inara wing section. We are the big one at the top.

And we own an asteroid base. :D
