I have seen a freighter ship be escorted by a couple of sidewinders before so I was just wondering are there any missions that are similar to that? It would probably be really easy, but of course there is always the possibility of pirates 
And i can see having a jump scanner might be handy/required. Maybe in the future they will let you team up with AI on those type of mission so you wouldn't get separated too much.
I think it would be neat to essentially have a combat ship that makes money off of trades from other people.
