Are there new things in the galaxy?

Is it even worth exploring other systems in search for something "unknown" that hasn't been found yet?

What I mean with this is: is there anything else implemented in the game other than what we already have? Because if I feel like trying to find something else, something new, but if Fdev hasn't implemented anything else, it will only be a waste of my time in search for something that doesn't exist...

Possible other race of aliens...? Possible other Thargoid content that we haven't found...?

I currently am with 4x Guardian Gauss Weapons, Guardian FSD + lvl 5 engineering, and I am currently working on engineering other part of my ship. After this I will start my full exploration on Thargoids, Barnacles, and everything I can get my hands on.

But I really am curious whether I can explore and try to find something that is indeed yet to be found...

I wouldn't mind to wander around the galaxy if I knew something was indeed implemented.

Quick answer is we don't know what we don't know.

Fdev hint that things have not been found, no idea what that might be, could be a M class system that has not been visited. Chances of anyone going to it in my lifetime are slim

Where did they hint that? All I am reading about it is from ED Wikia now.

You can find new things that others have discovered using the codex in game..
Fdev said that there will also be the concept of codex hints that will lead you to things no-one has discovered. Unfortunately they have not released this feature yet.

PS: One random thing I will say: the "encryption" in Guardians/Thargoid's messages shouldn't be ASCII nor encoded by something Humans created... unless they do have humans in their "group" :p

AFAIK, only the very 1st Thargoid Mystery included Human language, when they transmitted the name of the system. All others have been :
a) Graphic based (Ship Drawings)
b) Binary Based Maths (the first one was possibly a leak, we had already worked out what to do, but had not done the math yet. Would have solved it really soon without the leak)
c) Guardian Obelisk Scanning, so Alien that Ram Ta had to "decode" it for us (Boo Hiss)

Its really REALLY hard to come up meaningful "clues" that are math based, and virtually impossible if the clue is supposed to give a lot of data. Even Canonn has its limits.
I would be happy with ANYTHING that doesnt require just blowing things up.

If you look through where things have been found in the Codex, what sort of things have been found, and the patterns from that ... it's fairly likely that there are still things out there to find. Certainly every previous prediction that we'd found everything turned out to be false.

None of that, of course, gives any hint as to where you should be looking to find something new, except perhaps to say that some of the Codex regions are more likely to have undiscovered things than others.

Of course, if there was a hint about where to look, someone would already have followed it and found it, so the only reason there's still anything left is because the remaining ones are going to require a lot of luck and persistence.
