Are there no black people in space?

Actually by the time this story takes place the human race will have co-mingled the races so much that there probably wont be white, black, Asian...etc etc We will all be a amalgamation of the races. That is if the human race survives that long without wiping ourselves out via nuclear war, robotic takeover (ala terminator), pollution, global warming (if you believe in that), or a natural disaster doesn't do it.

However I do agree with the poster that said for good Sci-Fi to work we really should strive to include all so with the next run of Powerplay leaders being added it would be nice to see a black leader in there.

As a random sample of 12, looks like quite a varied selection to me with no obvious placeholders just for placeholder sake. For 1200 years in the future, given the cross culture mix of the gene pool over such time, looks perfectly believable.

Introducing distinct racial placeholders just to satisfy a quota is not the best option.

A few of them look distinctly white to me though.

The thread was closed on the basis of it becoming circular, trolling and/or flaming, and was going to lead to racism / sexism coupled along with abusive and disrespectful behaviour.
