Not sure if anyone's traveled that far in but I've got a few friends together and we wanna make a trip to the super massive black hole. But wondering if we need star skimmers as well as massive fuel upgrades to do so or if there is some stations we can stop at along the way?
Are there stations at the center of the galaxy?

Edit: To be serious, there are no stations once you get a few hundred light years out.

no stations out there, you'll need a fuelscoop. close to 500 cmdr arrived there. there is a list in this forum. search for buckiball a in this forum for crazy fast ways to go there. but i'll recommend you do a trip outside the bubble before - pleiades, orion nebula to try whether you like exploration as gameplay.

Go to the Galaxy map and select all the factions and independents. Then zoom out. That's human occupied space. Beyond that is the Frontier. You'll need plenty of gas
That's not to say that there won't be other non human structures but if there was and they were of Thargoid making I wouldn't bother asking them for a refuel if I were you

A fuel scoop is essential for exploring outside human space as there are no stations. Never been to the center but heading there right now.
Well I'm actualy rather deep into the game at this point and dabbled in a few things got myself a fully upgraded Asp now just working on the last few mil to grab a Python. But this trips more for giggles to see just how far we can make it and also I'm kind of a space efficianado so even the possibility of seeing something cool on the way is enough for me to make the trip lol. But thanks for letting me know there is no stations. I didn't think there was but my buddies thought they'd have them everywhere by now

Are there any plans, or way currently, to expand populations to more star systems? That would be pretty wild to inhabit the entire galaxy.

Im about half way there at moment...No stations...All you need is a 20plus LY jump,Best fsd you can buy...Best fuel scoop you can buy,,,all other mods d class(weight reduction) extra fuel if you feel like it depending on your current ships capacity for carrying fuel....Remove weapons(you wont need them where your going) and I also remove shield to reduce weight and increase range.
