Are things like INRA bases, notable PoI, etc., on the Codex?

If so, where are they in the Codex?

I've been so focused on engineering that I've barely touched the Codex.

I'd look now but I'm having dinner shortly so I thought I'd leave this thread while I'm away.

Thanks.

Sadly and to my confusion, no. Finding Inra bases, Formadine Rift Sites, Generation ships all still require out of game media to find. It is "beyond" (badum-tss) me why they chose to leave that out of the Codex.

Well that sucks.

Does a probe at least reveal them?

Yes. I found a crashed T-9 after probing a planet revealed a Human POI called 'crashed ship'.

That's okay then. Not a total downer. I'm planning on doing some space tourism now I've quit DW2.

May I ask where online I can go to see the known bases, generation ships, etc.?

So there was no info on this crashed ship until did a surface scan? Wow I guess I'll mapping everything now.

So you don't get a notification while in FSS mode either when scanning for locations on a planet like geological and biological?
Ugh, then you need to map every rock in the system?

The Canonn website is pretty good for this stuff.

I'm on the website but can't find INRA bases anywhere.

Where do I need to look?

EDIT: Never mind, I'm an idiot.

Search bar...

I may be wrong (evidently I often am here lol) but for a crashed ship it should come up as a Human POI after the FSS scan. For a Thargoid ship I think it comes up as Ancient or something along those lines. But yes, after you honk and scan the body with the FSS you should know that there is 'something' on the surface that isn't biological or geological.

Yep. I haven't done a Thargoid one yet but Guardian ones say 'Guardian'. Human ones include bases & normal stuff too of course.

No need to map every body, the FSS scanner screen will give you a count of POIs. You only need to map the body in question to locate the exact position of the POI.

Codex needs more work. A lot more work. I really hope it gets that work because it could improve the game so much.

That a relief to know thank you.

Codex needs to be better integrated with GalNet news and NPC missions imho.

The principle of the Codex is good where it falls short imho is the in game systems as a whole not giving information on a more indiviual level to help find "undiscovered stuff"
