Engineers Are we ever going to be able to sell mats/data?

I'd really love to be able to sell and buy mats. I really hate having to dump them out because I don't have space for them anymore.

What I'd really like, is to have some sort of storefront to allow me to sell mats and data that I don't need or have extras of. Let me set the price, and let people buy them or not if someone else has a better deal next door.

FDev are some what of a conservative dev company, don't expect revolutions.

I agree. We should be able to sell that stuff.
Wouldn't need to be for big cash.
Perhaps 1000 cr for the rarest data & mats and 100 cr. for the most common stuff.

I would prefer selling it to engineers. I think that would be cool.
Perhaps we might even get a bit of rep for it.

I would love to see a market for them Big money would be best. Create a whole new gameplay for making money. I for one would not mind buying 25 MEF at a million credits each. I have 1.5 bil and unless i buy a new ship, just for the sake of spending money, i have literally nothing to spend those credits on. Take away the grind for those that don't want it, but make em pay for it.
 
It might work if they came with their own unique form of currency that didn't mix with credits. Otherwise you'd be taking that part of the game away for anyone who discovers a new credit exploit or who already has a billion credits.
 
I don't like the idea of trading mats for mats. It will just be another grind to get the mats you want. As was said above, people need something to spend their credits on.

I disagree. Credits have been meaningless ever since 1.4, I would hate for credits to ever be involved in engineers, despite many flaws.
 
I would imagine any chance to buy or sell mats/data would also coincide with a drastic downsizing in their storage.


by not buying and selling mats/data, there is at lest justification for the currant 1000/500 of space
 
I agree. I wouldn't want to have the ability to buy materials and data, otherwise the mega-rich commanders would have an easy engineering path.

However, selling those that you don't want would be much better than just having to ditch them. Especially if you have rares you no longer need.

That's why I suggested an alternative form of currency that's exclusive to mat buying and selling. Unless someone figures out an exploit for that as well, it should work just fine and​ solve the material storage problem.
