Are we getting a Sequel to the Grasslands DLC?

First of all: Obviously no DLC can ever include every fitting species, theyre limited to chose 5/8. So some animals will not make the cut sadly.
With that said one thing ive noticed with the upcoming Grasslands DLC especially is that a lot of pretty popular/requested animals were left out.
After thinking about it for a time ive noticed that the majority of these species were of african origin, which give me sneaking suspicion that we might get some type of Safari/Savannah Pack later down the road.
For example:
Crested porcupine
Honey badger
Secretary bird
Some kind of baboon
These are species i was pretty surprised that frontier didnt include them, but with a potential upcoming Safari/Savannah Pack their exclusion would make more sense.
I mean add the black rhino, an ungulate or two ( im thinking eland, gerenuk, kirks dik-dik), and one of the seemingly always required felines/canines with the serval/ bat eared fox, african leopard und you have a pretty cool Animal Pack on your hands.

But what do you think?

I doubt it. It's not like there aren't already tons of species that got "left out" of a pack in favor of something perceived to be less popular or desirable, only to show up later down the line. And while it wasn't explicitly said in this thread, I also reject the notion that certain species are destined to forever miss out due to lack of potential DLC themes. After all, who would have expected our gibbon to arrive in a Conservation Pack, or the wombat to arrive in a Twilight Pack of all things? If Frontier wants to include an animal and think it will sell, they'll find a way to. They don't need a "sequel" pack to do that.

I kind of feel like this grasslands is a balance to the wetlands pack. I don't know if we'll get another pack with a similar theme. On the other hand, and this is just how I am seeing it, the wetlands pack could be considered to being close to what a tropical pack would be, which also brings to mind rainforests. So it's possible.

I like the line up suggested. The main animal missing for me in the grasslands pack is an Old World Porcupine, they're the animal I've been wanting most for dryer biomes. So I do kind of worry they may not get in the game, but not too much. They're well known and recognizable, and I'm thinking it's likely Frontier will find some other way to get them in.

I dont mean this as literal sequel to the Grasslands Pack just wanted to make the connection :)
Besides, i dont think that reoccuring themes are super unlikely, afterall the Conservation DLC hat some heavy Grassland influence aswell, especially in the foliage but also the horse and the oryx to a lesser extend

I really do believe that they have plans to include particularly the Crested Porcupine/Cape Porcupine in a DLC this coming year.
I think a Safari Pack could be likely, to introduce an Old World Porcupine, round out the Big 5 AND add in some key African species that were missed out of the Grasslands pack.

I would like to get a Savannah Animal Pack for Summer, with the:
African Crested Porcupine (highly requested), Eland or Greater Kudu (we lack big antelopes), Addax (iconic animal), Sand Cat (very adorable small animal, much smaller than any current felines in game) or a Serval, for the other animals I am open to whatever else we get, but these are animals I think we need in my opinion.
Honey badger is not a need for me, but a nice ZT2 addition, same with the secretary bird. I don't remember if the baboon was in ZT2, but a baboon would also make a nice addition for a bigger monkey niche we don't have.

I think that they will include the porcupine in some kind of Drylands pack along with dromedary, baboon and Secretary bird and hopefully Somali wild ass and Addax :)

Maybe much more later down the line an African Adventure Animal Pack??
My preferred line-up would be:

African Leopard (NT)
Greater Kudu (
LC)

Black Rhinoceros (CR)
Mantled Guereza (
LC)
Secretary Bird (
EN)
Nile Crocodile (
LC)
Kirks Dikdik (
NT)

Other potential inclusions might be: Serval (instead of African Leopard), Grey Crowned Crane (instead of Secretary Bird), Common Eland, Gerenuk, Impala (instead of DikDik or Kudu) or Honey Badger, Sand Cat, Banded Mongoose, Rock Hyrax, Coquerels Sifaka.

Note: I believe the Porcupine, Dromedary and Hamadryas Baboon will be saved for a desert pack.

I would love to see some sort of 'Safari Pack' down the line, which adds more African species - not just grassland, but maybe also adding some desert and forest species. Something like this...

1. African crested porcupine
2. Red river hog
3. African spurred tortoise
4. Common eland
5. Southern ground hornbill (my favoured option for a new habitat bird, but I'd take almost anything bar the shoebill in that category)
6. Grivet monkey
7. A wildcard species - something like a black rhinoceros, banded or yellow mongoose, African wild donkey or Cape ground squirrel
Exhibit. Meller's chameleon (the biggest of the African mainland chameleons, without all the strong sexual dimorphism of things like Jackson's chameleon)

... That would be ideal for me. Lots of good, versatile options, with two more species from the top 10 on the meta-wishlist and a few more from the top 100, some more unusual choices that are still common in zoos and all fairly recognisable as well.
